This is an awesome example of my attempts at grocery shopping... Stew for one person isn't quite the great idea you might think! (As a side note, the potatoes kind of obscure the "root beer" label... calm down, Mom!) I was a little nervous about trying stew by myself for the first time, especially using Mom's I-don't-know-which-seasoning-so-I-double-the-recipe-and-use-both approach. It actually turned out pretty awesome, and I strong-armed a few people into helping me eat my masterpiece.
Now, you might think this is my finished product. No no. This is my LEFTOVERS.... after feeding six people!!! Looks like I'll be swimming in stew for a few days...

How can you and Susan not know this...it's Lawry's, I'm 100% positive....did you guys not go into the kitchen while Mom was cooking the stew...ever!?! As I just finished my own bowl of stew made with McCormick seasoning, I can tell you it's a far second to Lawry's. Unfortunately, Lawry's is a rare commodity here in Yakima. And one more thing....where the heck are the peas?
If you think I'M picky when it comes to green things, you should meet my roommates! If I had tried to sneak peas in there, I would have been feeding one person... not seven!
And good to know... I really DON'T think I ever went into the kitchen... I didn't know the whole "meat has to be floured first" thing until pretty recently!
